Substrates

Thanks to our many years of experience in glass processing and finishing, we can precisely manufacture and deliver substrates and wafers with a wide range of geometric and functional properties.

  • Gold and silver substrates for Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS)
  • Glass wafers with plasmonic properties over a broad spectral range
  • Glass wafers with silver nanoparticles on the surface

SERS

Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) is a highly sensitive analytical technique for identifying molecular "fingerprints" in complex compounds and studying chemical surface reactions.

For SERS, the placement of the sample substance on nanostructured surfaces is required. These surfaces enhance the electromagnetic field of the laser radiation, significantly improving signal detection.

Thanks to its unique and proprietary ion exchange technology, codixx is able to produce gold- and silver-nanoparticle-based substrates with the following properties:

  • High reliability and reproducibility
  • Long-term stability
  • High signal enhancement
  • Custom shapes and designs
  • Attractive pricing

Wafer

Thanks to its unique, proprietary ion exchange technology, codixx can manufacture glass wafers with plasmonic properties across a broad spectral range.

Our wafers are individually tailored to customer requirements – both in terms of dimensions and contours as well as the spectral range.

Additionally, the ion exchange technology enables the precise production of glass wafers with defined silver nanoparticle surface coatings.

  • Customized dimensions and contours
  • Broad spectral range
  • Precisely defined silver nanoparticle surface coating
